Design and Development:

• Participate heavily in requirements gathering and translate business requirements into report specifications design documents.
• Design and develop Dashboards / Adhoc reports / Standard reports as per the business requirements.
• Design and development of BOXI universe with best practices and optimal performance.
• Design and development with IBM TM1 cubes to cater reporting requirements utilizing cubes.
• Design and development of Qlikview Reports and Dashboards (QVD and QVW layers) or an equivalent any other in-memory solution tool development.
• Understand the business requirements and accordingly develop Qlikview reports or BOE XI reports with DESKI or WEBI.
• Work heavily with Marketing & Sales, Finance divisions to understand reporting requirements and develop them.
• Ability to understand business needs around Predictive Analytics, Segmentation, etc., and creatively prototype and propose to business as strategy and vision.
• Develop analysis cubes utilizing any of technologies including IBM TM1 or ESSBASE or Cognos Powerplay.

               
Modeling and Tool Administration:
o   Perform end-to-end Data Analysis and ensure the data gaps are identified upfront.
o   Collaboratively work with Data Warehouse, ETL team with logical and physical model.
o   Design and develop Data foundation layers BI layer (Business Universe, Reports)  for BI tools to serve reporting needs.
o   Understanding of infrastructure, installations, end to end tool administration.
o   Utilize and perform server administration , use CMC , apply Patches, security, schedules, backup  and troubleshoot and performance tune in a multi-tiered environment
•        Ability to segment the projects into deliverables and execute end-to-end. Prepare status reports and timely escalate any issues to be in track.
•        Expert in Software development life cycle, bring standards and process to the development team.  Work with the rest of the BI team in getting efficient and adhering to discipline development practice, release management, documentation standards and follow SDLC process, change management, issue tracking,
 
Skills & Experience Required
•         Expertise in IBM Cognos or Business Objects, Universe Design and Development, hands on expertise with BI suite of products: Dashboard/ Crystal Reports, Mobile BI, Explorer View and Webi,etc.,
•        Expertise in Qlikview or Tableau, design and development of QVD and QVWs. Front end dashboard visualization development.
•        Experience with any of the cube development technologies IBM TM1 or ESSBASE or Cognos Powerplay.
•        SDLC, project management and quality quality management.
•        5+ yrs of BI, 8+ years of IT development experience

• Prior experience in Marketing and Sales Reporting is a plus
• Tools : Business Objects XI 4.0 or Cognos 10 ,Qlikview 11 , SQL  , MS Office
• Experience with IBM TM1 development and support is a plus.
